Application Engineer

Responsible for using engineering and design principles to configure customer solutions for industrial filtration equipment and systems used in paint pre-treatment, paint processing applications, and general industrial applications. After engineering solutions, develop corresponding costs and proposals to support the sales team. Configure technical solutions based on customer specifications and requirements. Develop costing and proposal documentation for sales team. Procure vendor quotes as necessary and understands vendor landscape to compare and recommend technologies. Coordinate with sales team by identifying products that fulfill customer requirements. Support sales team throughout the sales process by providing technical guidance on design and application of products. Work with products and or processes from small standard to large complex solutions. Provide commercial team insight into creative and innovative ways to meet customer requirements at lowest possible cost. Ensure technical value proposition is understood by commercial team. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related. 3 years of experience in any chemical engineering role in water treatment. Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and design principles. Demonstrated understanding of automotive paint pre-treatment and waste handling products and chemistry. Demonstrated understanding of automotive company specifications for equipment design. Demonstrated familiarity with water purification equipment and ability to apply in different applications.
